One for the LOTR fans.
Ogres Wargs & Orcs oft bring evil and harm
Unbeknownst to hobbits who diligently till and farm
Great wizard in grey doth watch o’er the Shire
Deflecting from little one’s Mordor’s hordes of fire
Quietly days roll by in much the same ways
As always they have from long olden days
Till once band of dwarves come seeking a thief
Didst cause Bilbo Baggins to turn a new leaf
Now hobbits venture not, nor do they quest
How doth polite host refuse these his guests?
Visiting dwarves thirteen laid plans in the night
But were gone when next Bilbo saw day’s light
Grab coat and hat, stuff food in a pack
Hairy toes unshod, questing dwarves to track

On ponies in wagons the party doth go
Hoping ‘gainst hope happy ending to know
Ne’er afore, likely not e’er again
Shireling travels where long road doth wend
A burglar Oakenshield needed, a Baggins he got
Fourteen and wizard cast together their lot
Off to Lonely Mountain whilst singing refrain
Fierce dragon to vanquish; Home to regain
Nicely done, Andrew. Gonna share on Facebook. Some friends will like it.
